{"id":3809,"date":"2013-10-01T09:01:02","date_gmt":"2013-10-01T07:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gasynet.com\/the-international-single-window-conference-exhibition\/"},"modified":"2019-07-19T10:59:47","modified_gmt":"2019-07-19T08:59:47","slug":"the-international-single-window-conference-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gasynet.com\/?p=3809","title":{"rendered":"The International Single Window Conference &#038; Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 3rd edition of the International Single Window Conference &amp; Exhibition took place in Antananarivo lately, from September 16 to 18, under the patronage of the Finance and Budget Minister who, in his opening adress did not fail to emphasize that &#8220;The importance of the single window concept supported by different international organizations such as the World Customs Organization and the United Nation is all to well understood now. For more than ever, we are required to improve the flow of information, to secure tax revenue and facilitate trade&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>The event welcomed 95 participants, coming from the African continent, Asia, Europe and the Americas, and over fifty ones from Madagascar. In accordance with the topic chosen for this edition, it was actually a platform of exchanges and experience sharing on the Single Window concept by and large as well as the challenges of interconnectivity in its broadest sens.<\/p>\n\n<p>As far as the specific case of Madagascar is concerned, the Customs Director General stated &#8220;we are going to try to to forge ahead, and besides all the changes that have been started, another objective has been adopted, namely to dematerialize all authorizations that must be presented when customs control is carried out at the borders and this as of July 2014. This type of measure which concerns a large number of entities is the result of joint effort and convergent determination.
