Whitin the framework of good practices promotion in terms of single window, the African Alliance for e-Commerce (AACE) has initiated in collaboration with the World Bank, a project consisting in making an assessment of Single Windows in Africa and their impact on cross-border trade. As Madagascar volunteered for this exercise, the TradeNet System was therefore assessed lately by an expert from te World Bank and a member of AACE, from August 25 to 28.<\/p>\n\n<p>The wrap-up meeting of this assessment was held on September 24 with the participation of Coralie GEVERS, the World Bank Country Manager in Madagascar, Hajarizaka RAMINOMANANA, the Customs Managing Director as well as various institutional, public and private partners and users of the system.<\/p>\n\n<p>Brigit VIOHL, the expert designated by the World Bank to present the results of this evaluation, did not fail to highlight the strength of this system and more particularly is achievements in terms of reducing the clearance time and facilitating trade. Indeed, customs clearance previously carried out in no less than 15 days can currently be completed within 3 and a half days and even less.
